MANLY OUTINGS--SECOND TIME AROUND

I notice that someone recently read my entry MANLY OUTINGS of August 15; so-- I took another look at it and my goodness it was garbled and unclear--my brain must have been frozen there on Starbucks patio when I wrote it. Anyhow, I straightened it up, continue to amend it, and I still go along with myself as to the worth of my sentiments in it.

SAGACITIES, ECT.

I May not have the highest IQ but wisdom seems to fit me well.
Don't spend the promises people make when they're within the reach of a long arm and a big fist.
Manly is not removing the safety guard from your Skill saw.
Old is a verb.
Love is a many fendered thing.
Macho is not a dirty word.
If U have more $ than me, be secretive about it.
If you can't face the music, don't ask the girl to dance.
Texas is in another state.
Fun doesn't always work out.
If I can't swim, don't go to the beach.

KAMAROH'S HALL OF HEROES LIST:

Carroll Shelby: 1923 Capricorn as is Kamaroh. He is one of my faulted heroes and is one of the first inductees into Kamaroh's KAOG club!
Bill Lane 1919 to 2010: Publisher of Sunset Magazine from the Fifties until 1990. . Wanted his magazine to embody and protect the West's natural beauty. Causes were "Yosemite Fund;" "National Parks Conservation Fund;" and, "The Bill Lane Center for the American West at Stanford!"
Colin Powell: I like his level intelligence.He is also a good example of my belief that triumph is possible for the common man.
Walt Disney: Because of the fun! I have always been a fan his cartoons of course. I also admire his business skills.
Bill Clinton: I am a Republican and so this is not easy for me. but I think his effort in Pyongyang to rescue Euna Lee and Laura Ling is above and beyond and definitely heroic!
Paul John Teutal, American Choppers! I am a little iffy about this hero. I do have respect for his fearless and direct challenges to the behavior of his sons. I also like his ability to acquire material resources that provide him with a manly lifestyle.
My Father: Robert, US Army Mustang Officer WWII
Norman Schartzkopf, Stormin' Norman, US ARMY-- DESERT STORM! (General/Republican).
My Grandfather: Louis, (Farmer/Story Teller) Colorado. He was a frail man who is a hero by special circumstance. While I was at his farm reccuperating from Polio & unable to attend school, he taught me to read and to write. He would tell wonderfull stories until my grandmother would yell at him to stop.
My Grandfather: Fred, (Farmer/Rock Hound), Nebraska.
